The hardware with the software
The COBI.Bike system turns your eBike into a fully connected smartbike. The Cobi team mainly focused on software updates and new functions to keep the system up-to-date. We focused on the most critical piece of hardware for this project.
Challenges
The interface was reasonably designed for safely operating navigation, fitness tracking, streaming music or calling with Bluetooth headphones from the bicycle handlebars, but the big challenge turned out to be a reliable and universal smart phone holder solution.
Cooperation
From one good kick-off meeting, we have developed a total of two variants up to and including the final engineering phase. Due to the physical distance between the Cobi Team in Frankfurt and Pi in Loenen, we successfully completed the project in a relatively short lead time via Skype and Video calls.
